THE MISSION IS “WATER THERAPY”

The core of the Big Event is providing combat-wounded veterans and their families a weekend of rest, relaxation, and what the organization calls “water therapy.” The goal is to bridge the gap between military and civilian life by creating a space where veterans can find peace on the water and camaraderie with those who truly understand their journey.

Dates: November 13–15, 2026.

Location: Activities are centered around the Bauer Community Center in Port Lavaca and the docks of Port O’Connor and Palacios. Also the field of honor in Victoria.

The 20-Year Legacy: This year celebrates two decades of service. It’s an opportunity to highlight the thousands of lives impacted and the $8M+ raised since the organization’s inception.

Join us November 13-15, 2026, for the 20th Anniversary of the Warrior’s Weekend Big Event. Every year, the quiet coastal town of Port O’Connor is transformed into a sanctuary of support for our nation’s combat-wounded heroes.

What started as a small gathering has grown into one of the largest charitable fishing tournaments in the country. Our veterans aren’t just here to fish; they are here to find a community that stands for those who stood for us. From the moment they arrive through the “Tunnel of Honor” to the final awards dinner, the Big Event is a life-changing experience of “water therapy,” fellowship, and profound gratitude.
